First and foremost. I know this forum is dedicated to Nigerian theme, but i find it difficult to refuse the temptation of dropping a note here as per the situations in Zimbabwe because such could easily happen anywhere in Africa.
If there is any moment a military coup could be justified, this is the time for it. Mugabe  has shown that he will not vacate the position of power in his country peacefully, hence he should be dealt with the way other cruel African leaders have been in the past. What does he want after almost thirty years in power?
The sad thing is that other African countries are not doing anything serious to see an end to the misery of the Zimbabwian people. The African Union  creed that states: "Africa will find solutions to African problems" is just a way for these crazy,selfish, and incompetent African leaders to cement their power on their countries. When was the last time Africa has ever solved its problem by itself? Never! From famine to AIDS; from poverty to wars; there has never been an African solution. So, who is fooling who? 
For years, bad leadership and mal-appropriation of funds have turned the continent into a beggar's status in the eyes of the world. At times, i wonder if these leaders have brains. They have travelled abroad many times and have seen the way things are well organized there but have consistently failed to emulate what they have seen in the western world.
Now that Zimbabwe has been ostracized by the world community,maybe not by Africa,as Mbeki  ,the South African president has shown recently. Mbeki , i believe is suffering from Alzheimer because he has forgotten the trouble and conviction black South Africans sufferred at the hands of the white apartheid regimes that ruled that country for many decades. He has forgotten that without international pressure, Mandela would have died in prison, talkeless of him becoming the president South Africa.
I am begging the boys in Khaki in Zimbabwe to save their country from this prolong sufferring at the hands of Mugabe . Please come to the aid of your beloved Zimbabwe!!! And i am sure no western government would criticized your action. Though African Union might criticize it, but A.U. is just a useless organization that cannot do anything. They will just bark but cannot bite.
Finally, i believe military coup is not obsulate in Africa; the time has arrived for Mugabe to face justice.
